Australian Cattle & Sheep Station – Accommodation
A unique Australian cattle and sheep station with private riverfront, self-catering homestead accommodation for up to 16 guests, situated across the Mundoo Barrage on our privately owned Mundoo Island. This unique accommodation is a treat for those wishing to enjoy fresh country air and the serenity of being immersed in nature on a cattle and sheep station in the beautiful Coorong, South Australia. Access is limited during your stay, so ‘Gunnadoo’ will be a relaxing haven for you.
Be as active or passive as you wish. You are welcome to hire kayaks and stand-up paddle boards to paddle on the river, book a station tour to see farm animals and the Coorong vista, book a bird watching or photography tour. Enjoy learning new skills with a leathercraft class or a night-time light painting photography experience where you will learn to create your own circle of light! The saltwater of the Coorong is nearby on the southern side of Mundoo Island where you can enjoy beach walks, picnics and bird watching. Sunrises and sunsets are often a treat from the verandah at ‘Gunnadoo’. Please note that sections of ‘Gunnadoo’ are locked depending on the number of guests booked.

Important note: ‘Gunnadoo’ is for guests only, visitors are not permitted during your stay.
A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking with the balance due 21 days prior to your arrival. Payment can be made via EFT, Visa, Mastercard or Unionpay. A security bond of $250 is payable upon your arrival by cash or pre-authorisation on your credit card. The property is to be left in a clean and tidy manner; if not, you will be charged additional cleaning fees which will be deducted from your security bond.
You are welcome to book some of our amazing activities to enjoy and learn new skills whilst staying on Mundoo Island Station. Be the envy of your friends when you show them a beautiful South Australian opal that you have polished yourself or a magnificent photo of you in the middle of ball of light taken after dark! If photography is your passion, then bring your camera and book a photography tour. Likewise, if birds bring you delight then your senses will be in overload on a birdwatching tour on Mundoo Island Station. Learn the art of leathercraft and create your own leather craft to take home and show your friends. A station tour will immerse you in the farm life with horses, cows and sheep. There is something for everyone! Please note that some activities have a minimum and maximum number of participants to achieve the best experience for you.
A suggested itinerary together with details and pricing for the particular activities you are interested in can be provided for your stay. A Booking Form must be completed and returned when you pay your deposit.
